About
Distinctive Dance Academy is a community-focused, socially conscious charitable organisation for the advancement of education by making dance education available to all. We are driving to promote health and wellbeing in the community through performing arts. Our ethos is to help people in local communities, through the removal of economic barriers: to achieve their goals; develop confidence in their abilities and to improve fitness and wellbeing for all.
We aim to instil a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn in the young individuals we work with. We achieve this by creating a safe, fun, environment where individuals can express themselves through performing arts and gain exposure to the endless possibilities education can offer.
Creating an inclusive environment where students, parents, friends and families within the community can come together to share experiences at our numerous events throughout Scotland. Our family-focused environment aims to create positive change within the areas in which we operate, with educational development at the core of our organisational values.
The Academy is made up of Board members who are responsible for the governance of the charity ensuring it is effectively run and meeting its overall purpose. and committed to driving positive outcomes for each and every member of the Distinctive Dance family.
